Uninsured Auto Insurance Cases

Q: My friend told me that if I’m in an accident with an uninsured driver and not at fault, that I might not be covered by my policy.  Is that true?

A: If you’re in an accident in which the other driver is at fault and that driver has little or no insurance to cover your injuries, you could be open to liability for your medical costs.  To protect yourself against this concern, you can add uninsured motorist coverage to your own policy.  This insurance would cover you if an uninsured driver injures you.

Few people know about uninsured motorist insurance, yet it can be very helpful.  And it is very inexpensive to add to your policy.  Your local insurance agent can help you setup such a policy.
