Jason J. Elmore
Jason Elmore received his BA from Hope College in 1993, graduating Cum Laude. While with the Flying Dutch, Jason ran cross-country and track. He obtained his JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1997. As a student, he chaired the Kent Justice Foundation and interned through the Public Interest Law Initiative, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Chicago-Kent Legal Clinic, and U.S. Army JAG Corp.
After admission to the Illinois Bar in 1997, Jason entered the U.S. Army JAG Corp. He served as legal advisor to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks and a prosecutor and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at Fort Leavenworth. Jason also served as the Senior Trial Defense Counsel at Fort Leonard Wood, representing soldiers throughout the U.S. He currently is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve serving as a Deputy Regional Defense Counsel.
A Cadillac native, Jason returned in 2004 to join the firm and the Michigan Bar. He specializes in Criminal Defense, General Litigation, Family Law, and Personal Injury. His cases have been the subject of local, state, and national media coverage, including NBC Dateline and a published book.
Locally, Jason has taught legal courses at Baker College and serves on the boards for the Cadillac Area YMCA, Footlighters, and Stehowen Free Health Clinic. Jason and his family enjoy spending free time outdoors doing recreational sports, such as skiing and mountain biking.
