Cynthia graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s College in 1980 and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from The University of Notre Dame in 1983. Since completing her law degree, she has been in private practice for over 20 years. After beginning her career in the Detroit area practicing creditor rights, she joined McCurdy, Wotila & Porteous in 1987. She currently specializes in appellate work, real estate property tax appeals and municipal zoning and planning.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Cynthia has served on several community boards, including The Family Resource Center of Cadillac and The Wexford County Historical Society. She also enjoys mentoring children in the Girls on the Run program and previously coached the Cadillac High School Equestrian Team. These activities allow her to truly appreciate and contribute to the Northern Michigan community which she cherishes as her home.
